THERMO GLACE + is a very high aspect ratio hydrous kaolin clay that was specifically created to replace 3µ talcs in thermoplastic polymers.
Hydrous kaolin clays have been processed carefully to minimize impurities, control brightness, particle size, moisture, residue and in the case of THERMO GLACE +, aspect ratio.
THERMO GLACE+ has been extensively tested in many thermoplastic polymers and some thermosets as a talc replacement. The data below, in polypropylene demonstrates that it is an excellent, safe choice to replace fine talcs in thermoplastic polymers.
