PolishThe Burgess line of Micro-Fine kaolin clays are processed minerals having attributes that enhance the “polishing action” when incorporated into various paste, emulsion or liquid polishes. Our Micro-Fine kaolin clay minerals are very finely ground having extremely low 45 micron (325 Mesh) levels to enhance dispersion and contribute to excellent leveling of thin polish films resulting in a gently polishing or buffing action that cleans soiled surfaces. Our Micro-Fine kaolins enhance application characteristics by increasing paste viscosity and improving spreadability. The polishing action of Burgess’ Micro-Fine kaolin differs based on the “coefficient of abrasion”.

BURGESS ICECAP KSF is a medium-fine particle size calcined kaolin (~1.5 micron APS), very low 325 Mesh (45 Micron ~.0008% typical retain on 325M), inert, Micro-Fine polishing mineral that disperses in water or solvent mediums contributing gentle polishing.

BURGESS NO. 50 is an ultra-fine particle size calcined kaolin (0.75 micron APS), very low 325 Mesh (45 Micron ~ .0020% typical retain on 325M), inert, Micro-Fine polishing mineral that disperses in water and solvent mediums, exhibiting good suspension in emulsions while contributing maximum paste viscosity improvement and gently polishing.

BURGESS NO. 98 is an ultra-fine particle size very soft hydrous kaolin (0.2-0.30 APS) exhibiting negligible retain on 325M that exhibits excellent dispersion, maximum suspension properties and a very low coefficient of abrasion.
